Hi Jeannelou,

Then why do they advertise them that way? I know I've put a lot of
heavy stuff (demins, etc) thru my machine but I sew slowly and with a
heavy nnedle & thread.
JT> start at about $2,000. I simply can't justify that even reduces when

I know what you mean so just don't overwork your hands when you do a
project like your bags. I'm strongly considering getting a second
(probably used) sewing machine as a back up but haven't decided to go
with Pfaff since I have one already or another brand that may happen to
be inexpensive but not "foot and bobbin compatable" with what I have.
It's not a priority, but will grab one if it's a good deal somewhere.
JT> I guess i didn't need to tell you about heavy needles and button
JT> and carpet thread. You may have been using it before i was.
Could be; I can recall using the button/carpet thread to hand work
buttonholes in jackets 20+ years ago. I've got a good assortment of
needles too, ranging from thin lightweight to the heavy darning type for
hand sewing.
JT> The game i was on was not [as far as i know] on the internet. It

JT> have found a gardening chat line. They do make some serious sense in
No, I think once you've found a friendly chat area on Fido, you stay
with it. I'm on several of the crafitng ones and a cooking one that is
called National but is quite international in reality.
JT> explain how to keep deer out of the garden in a short msg?
Simple. Tie foil pie pans to something like a tree or fence post loose
enough so that they rattle in the breeze and reflect sun.
JT> Getting late and i haven't gotten my dl yet.
I understand; I've got to get that computer music information sent to
you too. I was so sick last week that I was in a bit of a brain fog but
now that I'm doing better, I actually spent some time sewing the other
day.
Catch you later,
Ruth
