 ------------------------------------------------
presenting three speakers from various areas
              of the space program

Dr George Whitesides, National Space Society
Mr Tom Hill, aerospace author and journalist
      Dr Neil Tyson, Hayden Planetarium
 -------------------------------------------------
At the inaugural 2005 Allies in Space lecture. a dozen offering
space science and astronomy organizations promoted their activities to
the audience. They did so by including their litterature in the
information packet distributed at the lecture
This worked out so well that already, soonest the initial
announcement went out for the 2006 lecture, several groups are
offering litterature, If you missed last year's lecture, do avail of
this prime event to tell the public about your organization and
attract visitors and members to it.
The easiest, simplest, cheapest way to do this is to supply Allies
in Space with your existing US letter-size flyer, leaflet, folder for
your group. This can be the sheet you distribute at the Northeast
Astronomy Forum, starparties, Earth Day, Space & Astronomy Day.
Furnishing 180 copies will allow your flyer to be placed in the
packet so each guest gets your information, along with that of your
fellow groups. If you must supply fewer copies, they will be set out
at the reception table for pickup by the audience. Because the
audience is specificly interested in space science and astronomy, your
litterature will go into the hands of people quite likely to follow up
on your promotion and publicity.
This service of Allies n Space is FREE, there being no extra fees.
If you have no existing leaflet, here are some items to consider
for composing a special one for Allies in Space.

    * description of your organization
    * directions and map of facilities and sites.
    * invite to visit at or avail of your group
    * schedule of upcoming events for 2006-2007
    * contacts for additional information
    * application for membership or other affiliation

The sheet may be printed on both sides, be color or B&W, have
graphics and pictures. As a guide, you may pattern the flyer after
your website.
Send the flyer to 'Eugene & Frances Cervone, Allies in Space, 1056
East 96th Street, Brooklyn NY 11236' in time to arrive before October
31. Late material may be put out on the reception table.
If you work with an other astronomy/space center, like a college
department, planetarium, science museum, please pass on this invite to
it. Questions? Call alliesinspace{at}aol.com or 212-273-5958.
