Sandy, thanks for the comments.  They are, of course metaphysical,just like 
all of the advice concerning tuning.  "Take one chicken's foot, one dram of 
sheeps blood, recite the incantation.  Then tune."
As to your friend with the structural problem.  While my wisdom may be 
doubtful, there are plenty of books out there which explain that loose 
rigging is one of the most dangerous conditions to be found on boats. 
It can lead to mast pumping and it promotes the mast going faster than the 
boat.  Dismasting it is sometimes called.
It seems that there is no option to simply experimenting with tuning 
tensions.  Getting tired of replacing clevis pins.

Hello out there,
Several weeks ago I asked about GPS's and what to look for in one. Thus,
far no responces. Certaintly someone out there uses one and can help me.
Magellan XL , Garmin GPS75 or what? I want something with an anchor alarm
and that will be ready for that 9 thing (DGPS).
