KJ>SHE is wonderful, and quite precocious. She seems to know what's
KJ>expected of her. First chance to climb, she did it. First hard food, she
KJ>ate it. She can scream like an ADULT conure (at 6 weeks old...).
KJ>She'll be flying within days. But she's cute as the day is long!
Oh,Oh another one that Kathy won't want to part with. This one sounds
special Kathy.
KJ>>Phoenix has prefected the art of destroying the floor of his cage so
KJ>>that he can get to the newspaper to shread it. If I say "NO!" he works
KJ>>at it at a even harder maddening pace.
KJ>That boy needs a big block of wood to gnaw at. Go get him a block of
KJ>untreated pine, about 4"x4"x6". Let him destroy that instead of the
KJ>cage!
Wish that would work for Meggie, I got her one and she won't touch it,
likes to shred anything but that. She does like clothes pins.
Took her to work today and she was such a lady and so good. One of the
secretaries walked in and she was sitting on the desk beside me. I had
fixed it up for her by covering the top with a sheet and covered the
floor in case she held her tail over and pooped. Her cage was there with
the door open which she likes to sit on and some of her toys and
popcorn. The girl walked over to her before I could stop her saying "HOW
CUTE" and put her hand down to pick Meggie up. I knew she would be minus
a finger but to my surprise Meggie stepped up and then got on her
shoulder. I was astounded. Meggie reacted like that all afternoon. She
did not growl at the first person although no one else was brave enough
to try and pick her up. She enjoyed the visit as did I.
