Reading the echos from the diferent modem makers makesone understand that no 
one modem is better that the next. I have a Zoom that sucks on be BBs. I have 
a new Hayes Smartmodem 2400b that does't want to work the way I want it to. I 
also have a USR sportster 14.4 trhat I working to tune in. I have two generic 
modems that work great. One just has to tweek in the right one, all of them 
are good or they would not be selling them.
