-> I can tell you from experience (at least with "collectable Toys")
-> "book
-> prices are based on what "dealers" say they are selling the stuff for
-> other words they just make a price up. Don't get me wrong, thats wha

Thank you for confirming what I originally thought....
1 you cant seem to read.... since when does "Collectable" mean "Antique"
2. You probably just make up prices you you can charge more for your %5 I
ean
why say somethings is "worth $10 and only get .50 when you can say its worth
$1000 and get $50.
3. I would not (Nor do I think any truely intelligent person would) call you
for an appraisal on anything.
4. As for things in blisterpacks not being "antiques..." I have a '76 Monte
Carlo. It has been completely rebuilt/customised from the ground up. 400 CI
smallblock bored .030 over Alumn. Heads/intake/driveshaft custom built
Quadrajet Carb, Racing seats/5 point harnes. 15 coats of paint (Deep red
garnet w/ white stripes) funtional hood scoop etc. etc. (entier list would
fill
up several pages) book value on this car is $500 and it won't be considered
n
"antique" for another 5 yrs. So as you can see Book values mean nothing. (BTW
I
also have a '70 and an '88 monte).
5. as for you not being interested in thing not older than my mother well
thats
your personal taste in women.
6. Just imagine where you would be if "EVERYBODY" suddenly woke up and
thought...."Gee this really is an old piece of junk...I guess I'll just
through
it away and buy a 'NEW' one."
6. I've had items you MIGHT consider antiqques like a Space cadet Projector
gun
complete including original Ray-O-Vac's dead but not even rusted. I sold it
for
$5. I knew it listed for far more but what can I say... I didn't want it
anymore and some of us don't worship money as "The one true god."
                                 Mike D.
