Dump QEMM, don't bother with Memmaker.  Set up something like this in your
CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM:OFF
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM D=32
DOS=HIGH,UMB
FILES=100

Make sure you give your mailer/BBS window enough memory.  (I tell my two
nodes to take 600K, and that seems to work ok here.)
