The internet connection is from a Cable TV company so the wire is a cable a=
nd not a phone line. Is there a LAN to sniff in that case?

I'll have to ask. He did say that sometimes the router needs to be reset, s=
o that would be a problem if it was locked away. However what would it chan=
ge if it was locked away? I would think that if the tenant is intent on hac=
king me he doesn't need physical access to the router. Can he hack me by ta=
mpering with the hardware?
