My own account has .Xauthority.
[root{at}localhost ~]#
[root{at}localhost randall]# ls -a
. Desktop .gconfd .ICEauthority .recently-used
.. .dmrc .gnome .lesshst share
.bash_history download .gnome2 lib .thunderbird
.bash_logout .eclipse .gnome2_private .metacity .Trash
.bash_profile .eggcups .gstreamer-0.10 .mozilla workspace
.bashrc .emacs .gtk-bookmarks .nautilus .Xauthority
bin .esd_auth .gtkrc .opera
browsers .gconf .g
But the root account does not:
[root{at}localhost ~]# ls -a
. .bash_profile .gnome2 .mozilla
.. .bashrc .gnome2_private .recently-used
anaconda-ks.cfg .cshrc .gtkrc .tcshrc
.bash_history .gconf install.log .xauthd2L5U6
.bash_logout .gconfd install.log.syslog .xauthxa2aVS
So should I do the xauth method?
