   I've always tried to trim the quoted text down to a bare minimum.

   You may not be aware of it, but most people find it hard to read ugly quoted
text with just one single line added to it.

   This is why we have comment linking in 21st century FTN software, for those
that are interested enough to actually follow the discussion backwards.
