There is a difference....with ham radio we are "suppossed" to
perform public service(although many folks don't)...where as in Fidonet
there is no charge to do anything that's helpful...it is simply a
hobby...and in most instances performs no useful functions whatsover, other
than filling time and massaging egoes.

But most of Bob's echoes are not in the Fidonet Backbone...they are family
net echoes.....

I don't take that echo.....I have no interest in the ARRL....although I am
a life member, I have had enough disagreements wtih them over the years I
should simply resign my membership.....
