My 55 Chevy (my first car) had roughly 300K miles on it and was on it's
second engine. It had different color driver's door and trunk lid.

My current car (my 12th) is a 94 Dodge Intrepid and has 110K and the engine
is still strong. I maintain it very well.

I have never owned a brand new vehicle. Several of my friends, being car
enthusiasts, own several cars from the 50s and 60s as well as newer cars,
none of which are "junk" as Otto claims.

Don't you hate when that happens? I worked on a customer's car several
years ago that had golf ball size dents all over it. The customer had
purchased the car only a few months before driving it through the mid-west
to a family reunion. During their trip back to the northwest, they went
through a hail storm. The cost to repair the damage was more than the car
was worth so they just replaced the broken glass and left the dents. I
worked on it several times over the next couple years until they sold. It
was quite the conversation piece.
