There were some issues with Client versions 2.11 and 2.12 and not always
installing properly (a W95 Registry issue). There is a program
available at Novell's website that when run will clean up any references
to the Netware client (after you have removed it) from the W95 registry.
After cleanup you can reboot the system and run the client install
again. This usually fixes the problem. If you are using client version
2.12 you also have to apply a service pack (provided by Microsoft on
their website) before reinstalling the client. I believe the cleanup
program is called WNC95.EXE or sum such similar name (don't have it
handy right now) and the service pack from Microsoft is called (stupidly
enough) SETUP.EXE (1.0MB).
There is a CD you can get direct from Novell that has the latest clients
on it for DOS/Win3.x, NT, W95 and Unix. The W95 client on this CD is
v2.2 and doesn't have the problems that v2.11 and 2.12 have so doesn't
require any of the fixing up I mentioned above. If you're a subscriber
to Netware Connection you get a copy for free. If not, you can order it
direct from Novell for a nominal fee.

Pretty smart. Insures that it has access to the necessary resources
before allowing you to continue. More programs should be that smart. :)
