IMHO Spending the extra $$ on the telecast is not very wise for Hi-8 or SVHS.
The Studio version allows you to work with S-Video/YC already which is the
best you're going to get from Hi-8 or SVHS. Neither Hi-8 or SVHS will give
you true component so why spend another $7000 for something you can't use
anyway. You can get by without a TBC but, I would take the money you would
have spent on the telecast and get a good TBC for the player.
The sound from the telecast is supposed to be better, but is it really worth
the extra $$ for your applications? (Especially since you can't take
advantage of the component video)
