What's wrong with warm water? Some of us have enough common sense
to realize that it's worth the effort to move somewhere where we
can dive year-round. :-)

It also causes certain portions of your "dive equipment" to
shrink up and seek a warmer environment. Rumor also has it that
extremely cold water affects a diver's brain and gives them the
mistaken impression that they are having fun!

Out of curiousity, what sort of fishlife do you see in Lake Tahoe?

Chuckling... I learned to dive in a chilly quarry in the NE,
and like most young guppy divers fell for my instructor's claims
that we would see a real German wreck on our first dive. My
excitement quickly turned to embarassment upon seeing the rusted
out hulk of an old VW bug sitting in about 40 feet of water.
