It's been a good week in politics: 1. Obama's obsession with nationalizing health care has morphed into a fetish. After Scott Brown's election (which the Annointed One blamed on GW Bush), Hopey Change said that he would set a new course toward focusing on jobs (that three-letter word of which Joe Biden is so fond). Well, he didn't. In the face of declining public and congressional support, the Obsessed One redoubled his efforts to bring about HillaryCare. Speaking of her, the Clinton woman - and the shitstain she married - must be getting a chuckle out of this. 2. Howard Fineman, Obama Rumpswab extraordinaire, says that the media have fallen out of love with Hopety Change. Except for Keith Olbermann, you mean. Certainly Keith and his 15 viewers still love Obama. Don't they? By the way, Fineman finds a silver lining in all this by admitting that the media are regarded about as well as union thugs in public opinion. 3. In an effort to spur the "peace process" in the Middle East, Hopety Change sends not his secretary of state - the aforementioned Clinton woman - or his "special envoy," Robert Mitchell. Instead, he sends Joe "what's the number for that web site" Biden with predictable results. 4. Gas is about 60 cents more expensive now (and rising) than it was last January. Hopety Change must have some cronies in the oil bidness. Or is this GW Bush's fault, too? 5. USA Today, the McNewspaper of Record, asks, "Is Obama losing his base?" USAT discovers that those who brung Hopety Change to the dance no longer want to tango with him - well, except for a few Fido stragglers who fell in love with him after the State of the Union speech. 6. After his astonishing success in overhauling the American health care apparatus, Hopety Change will next address education reform. No doubt his effort will produce more sterling geniuses like Otto and Klahn. 7.
