| subject: | STAN`S A..HOLE GOVERNOR |
Replying to a message of Jeff Binkley to Ross Sauer: RS>> "What a maroon!" -Bugs Bunny RS>> Georgia's governor will pursue a lawsuit against the new RS>> federal health care bill, even if the state's attorney RS>> general refuses to do so, the governor's spokesman said RS>> Thursday. RS>> Gov. Sonny Perdue, a Republican, opposes the health care RS>> bill because it will add 700,000 Georgians to the Medicaid RS>> program and require people to buy health insurance or face RS>> a penalty, said Bert Brantley, Perdue's director of RS>> communications. RS>> The state's attorney general, Thurbert Baker, a Democrat, RS>> had advised Perdue against filing a lawsuit. JB> 34 states currently have laws working their way through JB> their legislatures that will forbid the government from JB> forcing individuals to buy healthcare insurance. Virginia JB> has already signed theirs into law. Now do you believe in JB> state's rights, as outlined by the Constitution, or not ? JB> Remember that this ax swings both ways. Those 34 states and those involved in the lawsuit recently filed against Obamacare are all wasting their time and efforts. Judges on the federal bench - up to and including the Supremes - have for decades been selected for their political ideologies, not for any legal, judicial or Constitutional expertise. IMO Obamacare is a done deal and the courts will decide against the states and void those state laws that conflict with Obamacare. What the states *need* to do is convene a Constitutional Convention and put the brakes on the national government - maybe even dissolve it. I can't offhand think of anything prettier than a lot of unemployed (former) federal bureaucrooks. Many US states are physically larger than recognized nations, have populations larger than recognized nations and have economies as large or larger than some recognized nations. Would play h*ll with the UN though... ---* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:300/3) SEEN-BY: 10/1 11/200 331 14/400 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 140/1 226/0 SEEN-BY: 236/150 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 SEEN-BY: 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2222/700 2320/100 5030/1256 @PATH: 300/3 116/901 3634/12 123/500 261/38 633/260 267 |
