* Originally in ELIST * Crossposted in ECHOLIST Hello Thom! 01 Oct 09 14:25, you wrote to me: RC>> If manually works, then the glitch is in your batch RC>> files/automation. TL> Here is a snippet from the IREX log [..] I found the issue. The last echolist announcement I have from the bot in the echolist echo was dated June 17th 2009. Path from that message: 1/21 261/1352 123/500 With the info I had from your post, I checked my logs.. I do not have 1:1/21 configured as a link here and never have, not in the tosser nor in the binkd mailer. According to my logs and where I found a slew of security violations in a directory the log file told me "/mailer/tmp_in/" the packets are in fact, including the one you clued me to, no longer show 261/1352 in the pathline. Since I dont have a configured link with 1:1/21, the tosser treated the messages as a security violation, and only in this instance process netmail from a non-configured address. On and prior to 06/17/09, the messages from you in the ECHOLIST echo were coming from 1:261/1352, since then, something on your end changed the messages to come from 1:1/21. If I changed the address line in my tosser to show something other than 1:123/500, then messages you receive from me would probably be tossed as bad or security violation? Going on an assumption, you were treating the robot as a downlink of you, but something changed.. It has been 2562 years since I ran gecho, so I forget if you are able to change the primary aka of oneself to use for a area?? Possible Solutions: [A] See what you might have changed that is different from 06/17/09 and before versus 06/18/09 and after? [B] I can add in 1:1/21 as a link and link it into only the echolist and elist echoes? (I will have to do this anyway to toss the backlog) So let me add in 1:1/21 right now, check.. cd \mailer\tmp_in ren *.sec *.pkt copy *.pkt d:\fidonet\mailer\in toss! Ok, I will leave this in and I request another test as well as info like this last time. The desirable solution is to use the method you had in before, however my solution should work as well and I believe it has for all of the backlog I had. == Ross Fidonet Feeds Or Fidonet In Your Newsreader: http://www.easternstar.info E-mail: ross(at)cassell(dot)us | Other Places: http://links.cassell.us Fidonet Netmail Routing Chart Z1 Only: http://netmail.fidonet4u.info ...
