That sounds very much like when I was in Vancouver in January 1990, we had
around 2ft of snow overnight that caused chaos on the roads that
morning......;-) But they certainly cleared it quickly, the following day
we clear roads all the way through to Whistler. I was told it was a
"once in 10 years" type of snowfall for Vancouver.
