Then again they also downed US aircraft over the middle of the soviet union
(powers) & or armenia (part of the USSR) & in a couple of other
places.

Yup & the Israeli's shot the hell out of the liberty & forced a US
spyplane to land at Lod.

Did the US deploy squadrons of attack aircraft to israel's neighbors?
