-=> Quoting Bo Simonsen to Roy Witt <=- BS> Heh, I were wondering do anybody know the history of why americans BS> doesn't use the celcius unit? The Fahrenheit scale and the use of British Imperial measurements for length, weight and volume was used widely in the English speaking world until recently. But with the extensive adoption of the SI system, it is now only a relic except in the USA where it remains commonly used. In Canada older cooks still tend to use pounds, ounces, cups and quarts but younger ones think in metric. BS> I hope for american scientists that they use Kelvin, else BS> there would properly be a misunderstanding if they use european BS> data. They do. Celsius and Metric are taught in school science classes.
