Vista doesn't call it the same thing, so I'm not sure if it is the same
thing -- they call it autotuning...  Anyway, turning it off most definitely
fixes the problem. (along with putting news.barkto.com in the hosts file --
there seems to be something strange related problem fixed by that in
Vista.)

It doesn't, of that I'm sure.  I do know of some consumer routers that
break with it though.  Linksys RV0041 and RV 042's.
