| subject: | Renegade on OS/2 with SIO |
Hi, I'm trying to get Renegade running on OS/2 using SIO and it's VX00.SYS fossil driver and VMODEM virtual modem and telnet server. The problem I am having is that upon "answering" an incoming call, Renegade immediately starts initializing the modem. The call never goes through and Renegade stays with the status "initializing modem" until the telnet client closes the connection. I've installed Telegard (both the DOS and OS/2) version as a test to try and determing if the issue lays with Renegade or the SIO package. It is with Renegade as Telegard works fine. I've tried with -T, -TC or without those flags and the result is the same. This is with Renegade v1.10 and v1.18 by the way. I know Renegade works fine on something like WinXP with Netfoss et al but I chose OS/2 Warp 4 on purpose because, well old software and hardware is my hobby. Anyone got this combination working?
