-=> After drinking his 3rd cup of coffee, Fred replies to Michael
FR> I got a reply, but it was not very helpful. They always give you
FR> general information, not specific information. They use some kind of
FR> automated system for technical information.
I'd asked them about something and received an offer for those files.
I asked for a few, but none of them addressed the question.
The problem I'd found was that when using the address book, the software
would use the 'alias' as the e-mail address if there was anything in
the 'alias' field. This, of course, limites the value of the 'alias'
field; I think it should have been called a 'notes' field.
MH> I've noticed that my computer slows down a lot when I start Juno.
FR> Mine slows down too; I guess from all the ads it searches for.
FR> I remember when I first started using Juno, it was much faster.
Ever defrag your hard drive after using Juno? I suspected that
fragmentation might be a problem, so I tried that one night. After
doing it, Juno sped up noticeably. But it's still a lot slower than
it was.
If I could figure how to tell what's going on, I'd remove some of those
advertisement directories and try it. It would be a major operation.
Suggestions are solicited.
Carry on.
Mike
