I remember the story about the Plymouth automobile that had a Push-Button
Automatic Transmission.

A man had just drove his new Plymouth out of the Plymouth Dealer's Lot and
was waiting at a Traffic Light when another driver alongside hollered
"do You want to Drag?".

The Plymouth driver pressed the "L" button (for LEAP), and when the light
changed to Green both cars started down the road.

The other driver was slightly ahead of the Plymouth so the "D" button
(for DRAG) was pressed.

The Plymouth got ahead of the other car for awhile, but the other car was
getting closer to the Plymouth, so the "R" button (for RACE) got pressed.

It was a long time before the driver of the Plymouth awoke and he started
wondering what had happened.

My Dad bought a Polaroid camera (in 1953?).

The first TV Station in Louisville, Kentucky [WAVE-TV] began transmitting
programs on Thanksgiving Day, 1948.

I was in the 2nd Grade of Elementary School when I saw a TV Show.
The TV Set was at a Beer Joint, the owner had mounted the TV Set near the
ceiling, in a corner of the Bar.

From about 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.(?) People all around my neighborhood came to
watch TV Shows there.

A Year or so later another Kid told me there was a TV Set in a nearby home.
We walked up to the house and looked through the window and saw the TV Set
(which wasn't ON) had a very small screen compared to the one at the Bar.

When a Friend told me his family got a TV, Me and My Brothers and some other
Kids were at that house every evening watching the TV.

jm> Neighbours were over all the time to stare the Indian head test
 jm> pattern.

Our first TV Set was a B&W Philco with a 12" Tube in it.

And I remember coming home from School after 2 P.M. and seeing the Indian
Head Test Pattern on the screen, but near the bottom of that picture WAVE-TV
had the News printed on Ticker Tape scroling from Right to Left until they
started playing the Shows.

I remember watching "Kukla, Fran and Ollie" and "Captain Video".

JM>> .. I also always carry some hidden cash in my wallet.

Hmmm, when I read that in Your original message, I thought:
"he shouldn't ought to write that."

But who am I to tell OUR MODERATOR anything such as that?
