Hi, Wanda!
-> Lora!
-> Hello, and it is so good to hear from you. I was thrilled to get your
-> note.
I had been looking for you in this echo for a couple of weeks. Found
you when you got back from Florida!
-> I'm still using the wooden basket that you made years ago and gave me.
Actually, I think my Father made that basket before he died. That was
his hobby and he invented those baskets for my Mother to use with the
Canadian geese.
-> LF> in your church! I hardly get Christmas cards signed and posted.
-> We LF> have a mailbox in the foyer every Christmas.
-> How does that work? Do they all crowd around the mailbox, looking
-> for their cards? We have started attending the Great Oak church
-> of Christ now, instead of going to Macon Rd. I might introduce
-> the mailbox idea at Christmas-time there.
Well, it works just great...someone made a box with sections for each
letter of the alphabet (open from the front) and you just file your
Christmas cards in the appropriate boxes by last names. Then I go to
the "F" box and get out all my cards. Crowd? Yes, there is always a
crowd, but that is fun, too. Our church is small and there is never a
real problem. They always need 2 boxes for some letters (like 'm') and
they do combine some letters like 'xyz'. It is a great way to send cards
to everyone in your church without it costing a lot of money. I used to
be a leader for the teenage girls in another church and we delivered the
cards...they gave them to us and we saw to it that they were handed to
the different members. We did charge them postage, however, as a
contribution to our organization. Sort of like a bake sale only
delivering cards. It was fun.
-> LF> I am coming out to Tracy's on Saturday. We have 5 January
-> birthdays LF> and we are having one humongous party on Sat.
-> I know ya'll will have a wonderful time! Happy Birthday to the lot
-> of you.
Thank you, thank you. They would not put any candles on my cake as they
said they did not want to burn down their house. Part of my present
from Tracy and Cindy, however, was to have 10 candles deleted. Now, I
call that a gift!
-> Is it the MS that is bothering him? I sure will keep him in my
-> prayers. Haven't talked to him in a little while now.
Mainly his problem has been things like flu, colds, sinusitis -- his
immune system is so compromised from the MS that he catches every bug
flying by. The MS gives him some bad times but he pretty well keeps
that to himself. He has had some bad problems with his chest
and arm muscles cramping. Got himself a motorized wheelchair, though,
so he doesn't have to use his muscles so much.
-> Who is the carrier if you don't mind my asking? We use T-Net, which is
-> local also.
You gotta remember, Wanda, that local to you is not local to me! The
only local carrier in this part of the vast woods is (who else?)
Dixie-Net. I think they are getting inundated because I can't get on at
night. Have to do all my stuff during the day. Makes me mad, because
my daughter and Tracy both are usually on at night. Nice to chat with
them and saves long distance costs.
-> The same for you, too! Feel free to call or write me anytime.
-> Maybe we could get together sometime, if you'd like. My FMS is not
-> as bad as it used to be, so I can walk around a little better than
-> when you saw me.
Hey, I am so glad to hear you are better!! I am still working 2 days a
week and am trying to get caught up on things here. I do want to see
you and we will get together before too long.
-> take care,
-> Wanda
God bless,
Lora
