The Kenwood MC-50 is convertible lo-hi impedance; just have to 
remove/reinstall the plug in the connector on the back of the microphone 
appropriately.  Look at the black & red color dots & the
"H" or "L" next 
to them.  This is one of the reasons that I keep one of these very 
useful (and good-looking) microphones around.
