Hello Steve,

SA>(It's Winter now)

Send some of that cold air over this way! It is steaming hot here!
And I am roasting! :)

>LL>Would you rather have tornadoes?

>SA>We rarely get them, & not the devastating US type ones, but there
>SA>are cyclones in the tropics (hurricane).

>LL>You do realize what causes tornadoes. Driving on the right side of
>LL>the road. When two cars pass each other, one from the north, the
>LL>other from the south, each driver driving on their right side, a
>LL>mini-tornado is formed. The mini-tornado then strengthens and
>LL>becomes a big tornado. And then the massive destruction begins.

>LL>Australians are smart, having learned from American drivers.

>LL>Instead of driving north-south, Australians drive east-west. And
>LL>always on the proper side of the road. Except when drunk.

SA>Not always ... on the "highway" from Northern Territory to
Queensland,
SA>they drive down the white centre lines, because the road is too narrow!
SA>(Or maybe it is to avoid causing tornadoes!)
SA>It's scary when there's a Road Train coming the other way!

When it comes to trains, the train always wins. The other day
a fellow was killed by a train, the poor fellow having fallen
asleep on the railroad tracks. He never knew what hit him. Or
in his case, what ran over him.

>LL>The other night, during a basketball game at the Atlanta dome, a
>LL>tornado touched down and tore off parts of the roof. Fans
>LL>scattered, leaving the dome as fast as they could. The organizers
>LL>had to move the other games to another arena, the dome having
>LL>holes in it and being deemed unsafe.

>SA>I think that was on the news, with the roof flapping around like
>SA>paper, & workers running for their lives when they realsed the
>SA>roof was blowing off.

>LL>Being from Louisiana, I am more concerned about hurricanes rather
>LL>than tornadoes. Especially since 2005, when we were hit by three
>LL>hurricanes - Hurricane Cindy, Hurricane Katrina, and Hurricane
>LL>Rita. This year the same conditions as in 2005 are present. And I
>LL>just can't wait for the next Big One to come this way...

SA>I hope you miss out - I saw some pics of the Mississippi in flood,
SA>I guess it's heading your way. Our major river (Mighty Murray) is
SA>a stagnant pond, due to the drought. They want us to drink recycled
SA>sewage.

Astronauts on the International Space Station do it all the time.
In 1927, the Mississippi River flooded and caused the Great Depression.
If such a massive flood were to occur today, it would make the Great
Depression seem like a picnic. In any event, such a flood is not
likely to occur this year. Unless a storm the size of Hurricane
Katrina were to come right up the mouth of the Mississippi River.

>LL>Basically, there are two views of history -

>LL>The Accidental View - events happen by accident rather than by
>LL>design. The Conspiratorial View - events happen by design, or
>LL>unknown reasons.

>LL>Do these views reflect religion, as well as politics? Is the rise
>LL>of the Antichrist an accident? Or is it something by design?

>LL>The Roman government "washed its hands" after finding Jesus
>LL>innocent of all charges. Pilate then turned Jesus over to an angry
>LL>mob, which executed Him.

>LL>If the Roman government represents a republic, and the angry mob
>LL>represents democracy, then how would a modern world react to the
>LL>second coming of what appears to be the Christ?

>LL>Maybe we will find out soon. In 2012. The Coming of Nibiru.

>SA>Don't know about Nibiru, but conditions for the emergence of Antichrist
>SA>appear to be reaching a climax, with Islam making its move for global
>SA>caliphate (without Israel), and the West bending over backwards to do
>SA>nothing to stop it ...

>LL>The Bush administration seems to have been trying to set itself up
>LL>for a self-fulfilling prophecy - the second coming of Christ. IOW,
>LL>bringing about certain conditions would help hasten the return of
>LL>Christ. The problem with that view is, Antichrist will appear on
>LL>the world's stage in God's time. Not man's time. And so too will
>LL>it be when Christ (and all His angels) returns.

SA>Well, Bush is on his way out, & seems to be a lame duck who can conduct
SA>a "war on terror" while facilitating the rise of Islam
& the fall of the
SA>West. (not that it is all his fault, he had plenty of help from Blair,
SA>the EU, UN etc)

Bush still has time to start a war with Iran and then declare martial
law, thus suspending US elections indefinitely.
