The Freedom From Religion Foundation, a Madison-based group that advocates
for the separation of church and state, and 12 Green Bay residents moved to
file a lawsuit Monday challenging the display on the roof of a City Hall
entrance.

The lawsuit claims the display depicting the birth of Jesus is an
unconstitutional governmental endorsement of religion. It claims City
Council President Chad Fradette and Mayor Jim Schmitt allowed the display
to provoke and marginalize those who would object. 

The final nail in the coffin: "In the end, the city council voted last
week to keep the display but put all other requests on hold until it can
draw up guidelines for deciding them."

I say let it go. 
I'm an atheist, and I don't see why they need to make a stink out of it.

Private money paid for it, so no taxpayer money is going into it. There are
*FAR* more important religous issues that need to be addressed, most
notably how under El Stupido's command of the Pentagon,
"Christian" bigots and militant evangelists have made too many
inroads into the US military.
