Both you & I have seen photos of US (esp naval) fighters flying really
"recklessly" close to soviet lrmp'es (esp bears). I remember
reading a soviet protest.
There have also been submarines coming back to port with some serious
"bumps" received from other subs & those suckers are nuke
powered & armed. OK far fewer since the soviets turned into the
russians but that's possibly at least in part coz the russians ain't
building new boats like the soviets did.

Plonking a mig in the 6 o clock of an rc135 is a firing solution. Heck just
with the cannon. Using the fcs is about sending a message.

Is the US flying spyplanes very close to or over the legal airborder? I
would guess yes.....in which case why wouldn't that make the NK'ers "a
little nervous" given that they have a thing about being attacked by
the US, they have been put on the "axis of evil" by said US &
said US is currently about to "infringe on iraqi sovereignty"
where Iraq is also on the same list as them?
