Jon Watson, In a message on 10 September, you wrote to me : JW> Andy Alt wrote to Jon Watson: JW> JW> AA> You wouldn't think it would be that hard would ya? I mean, I'm not an JW> AA> expert with C++, but generally ANSI C at least is a standard. If JW> JW> I code in C++ at the infosys level, not the comp sci level. I suppose that JW> you JW> may have a point there...I should try to port some code. Anyone have any C JW> code JW> for any DOS doorgames? I've thought about coding a door game. I'm fairly certain I'm good enough with it that I could write a text game. I don't have the patience for programming though. I mean, I have the patience to learn it, but not to spend a month or a year on the same program. Perhaps Jon, if you keep talking about it, and felt like a collaboration, I would change my mind. I would like to try something new with a program, and it would be a good xp to brush up on my rusty C. No guarantees though. At the very least, someone else might step up to the plate here if you kept talking about it. A month ago I was giving it some thought. I was mentally toying with the following idea. A door game that would be like 3 or 4 door games in one. Like you'd transport from Tradewars, to BRE, to Realm of Kisom, or something like that. But you could use your cash and XP, etc in the other "realms" or "dimensions," or "eras in time." ... * ATP/Linux 1.50 * NT?
