From: "David Havel" Subject: [drakelist] Using an RV-75 with R7 - Interface Model 1544 Question "David Havel" made an utterence to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0008_01C4B555.675C8220 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello all, I'm wiring up an interface to replicate the 1544 adapter, per the = diagram on http://www.dproducts.be/DRAKE_MUSEUM/images/conR7TR7.JPG and have a question. If I am not modifying the R7 per the 1544 instructions = (utilizing the Jumper Uncut switch position as shown), I'd like to know if I really need the external 13V input from the rear of the R7, since the interface cable has 13V available on pin #10 (also from the rcvr.). It appears = that the external 13V is only needed if the Jumper Cut position is used, = which removes the shunt from the emitter to the collector on the 2N4402 transistor. Am I correct in this assumption? (ps. I have the unit = wired in now without utilizing the 13V external DC jack of the R7 and it = appears to be working fine!) Thank you advance! 73, Dave - NO3K ------=_NextPart_000_0008_01C4B555.675C8220 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Using an RV-75 with R7 - Interface Model 1544 Question Hello all, I'm wiring up an interface to replicate = the 1544 adapter, per the diagram on =">http://www.dproducts.be/DRAKE_MUSEUM/images/conR7TR7.JPG">= T COLOR=3D"#0000FF" SIZE=3D2 = FACE=3D"Arial">http://www.dproducts.be/DRAKE_MUSEUM/images/conR7TR7.JPG= FONT> and have a question. = If I am not modifying the R7 per the 1544 instructions (utilizing the = Jumper Uncut switch position as shown), I'd like to know if I really = need the external 13V input from the rear of the R7, since the interface = cable has 13V available on pin #10 (also from the rcvr.).
