First of all, congratulations on becoming certified!
My advice to you is to get in the water and enjoy diving.
If you decide to stick with scuba diving, then I would
encourage you to continue your education and work your
way towards become a rescue diver.  After you get the
rescue certification then you can decide about becoming
an instructor.
