I don't understand, Maurice. There already are Linux BBS packages that run 
from the Linux console and, to my eyes and understanding, are very similar 
to what you described. I don't really have a wish list. I've never thought 
about it before.

Synchronet for example, has a daemon option, text displays, messaging. 
Since it can display Ansi, it can look like "the DOS BBS'es of Yore." 
It's multiuser/multi-node.

Maybe a BBS that can run thru SSH? I dunno, I'm still new to Linux, my 
friend, and quite ignorant, really. :)
