SK>> And, actually, I read an article the other day in my local paper (the SK>> Sacramento Bee) BA> My cousin Mike was the editor of the Sacramento Union up to the time it BA> closed. He went on to become a professor of journalism on the faculty at BA> Cal State-Hayward and retired from that job a year or two ago. Nice to know. The Union is back, BTW. I didn't know if you knew that. It's a bi-weekly free tabloid. Of course it's still just as Right Wing as always, but I pick it up every time I hit the local library. The Sac Bee is O.K., IMO. If we have to have ONLY one major newspaper. But it's too "middle of the road" for me in the Forum section. But the Right always claims that it's ultra-Liberal. But the Right has to lie. As always. I wish the Union were back in full force. I always subscribed to both papers. The Bee "calmed down" (rightfully) when they became the only REAL newspaper in Sad Sac. They carry Conservative opinion pieces all the time. But I wish it were back to the good old days. But if CONservative papers don't sell...it's not the Left's fault. :) Then we have the News and Review...which is what passes for a LIBERAL tabloid newspaper. I call it the Snooze and Review. If I wanted to wade through porn ads I'd open up my e-mail to spam. It's pretty dumb and childish writing.
