From what I've read and seen, all things considered, it is still CRT rear
projection and also the best value.  No other display gives the deep blacks
that these can give.

Not to say CRTs don't have drawbacks but from the sweet viewing spot
nothing else is better.  That being said, they are likely on the way out
and I'd look at the DLPs if I was in the market right now.
