DS>Tom,
DS>TW>DS> I think I'll stay with Windows 7.
DS>TW>Sounds like a smart move to me. I upgraded top win 10 and have had
DS>TW>nothing but problems. Lots iof Screen Frezes and Blue Screen automatic
DS>TW>re-boots.
DS>TW>And recently on one of the re-boots the machien went back to Win 7 and
DS>TW>then about a week or so later re-booted to win10 again.
DS>TW>And that is not to mention the Stuped MS changes just for the sake of
DS>TW>change to make you thing you have something better.
DS>TW>Tok me several weeks btu I finalle got my desktop amnd start meny back
DS>TW>to the way I like them.
DS> Micr0$0ft is interested ONLY in their bottom line, and feel they have the
DS>RIGHT to tell you what OS and browser you should run...and refuse to accept
DS>fact that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
You can say that again. They are worse then the "Robber Barons" of
Railroads and Oil in the 1800's
DS> You know it angers them no end that folks are running OS's like MacIntosh
DS>(Apple) and Linux, using browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox rather than
DS>Internet Explorer (or whatever the deal is now in Windows 10), and using sea
DS>engines such as Google Chrome rather than Bing.
I have played w2ith Linux once in a wgile and my brain jsut refuses dto
understand it. Their cryptic Command line, Necessary to to do far to
many things, is a nightmare.
A couple of months back I tried it again with the Mint Cinnamon on a
laptop. I use a swap the hard drive dual boot system. I also had a Win
10 hard drive for it.
Someone broke into hte house and stole the laptop and when I replaced it
just for fun I put the LInux Hard drive into it to see what would
happen. It booted up and ran just fine. Then I tried it in my Win 10
desktop and the same thing, runs without a hickup.
So now I have a backup for using the internet when the Win 10 instal
blows up in my face, Which is still screen freezing on me and doing blue
screen self boots
I was suspecting the Mother baord but since Liuux runs jsut fine I am
not sure.
DS> Believe me, if I wanted to upgrade, and could afford to, I would. That
DS>applies to OS's, cable TV setups, etc. Also, when I purchased my copy of
DS>Windows 7 32-bit from Amazon, I likely got it much cheaper than what Microso
DS>originally sold it for...I think I paid around $70, with shipping.
I grabbed one of those OEM win 7 deals also
