The discussion was regarding the US and the slavery we've all come to know and,
umm, well, not love.  Granted there are still several types of slavery that
take place today in the world, but that wasn't the point of the discussion.

I didn't say the Civil War was entirely about slavery.  But, we had slavery in
the US up until the Civil War, when it was more or less outlawed.  The
motivations for war and all, while important, weren't entirely my point.  It
was basically stating that some forms of change do require conflict.

And, "compose your written offerings"?  To what are you referring?
