Hi Vicki,
GP> Hi--glad things are going good. Since I have no idea how the land
GP> burnt and who burnt it I can't do anything about it. Two of my
Bummer, especially if you've put a lot of work into developing the land.
GP> neighbors are raising lots of herbs in their large greenhouses so I'll
GP> buy starts off of them come spring. I just hope my 3 year old
GP> strawberry patch makes it----it grew famtastic strawberries in this
As long as we've been here, I should have put in some herb patches or
strawberries. Never thought I'd live over 3 years in any place in the
last 22 years.
GP> I love coloured cotton and have grown the bronw and the green---in two
GP> different years as you can't grow them at the same time or they will
GP> cros pollinate.
It sounds interesting; I'm using just about all natural fibers for my
clothes these days. I don't have the time or space to weave my own yard
goods but I'd try the natural color cottons if I did.
GP> I enjoy me new job--have been there 2 months now. Son Bill graduated
GP> from college and joined the Army--we were't too pleased about that but
GP> it guarantees him a job, I guess.
Yes, the Army has been our paycheck for 15 years now. Don't like what
has happened to some of the benefits but...........at least I'm still in
the military medical system. It's a help; I got given some of the newer
antibiotics the other day that I would have had to pay an arm and leg
for otherwise. Plus, the asthma meds I use up each month.
I'm getting ideas for entering the Sewing Challenge from Nancy's
Notions; been thinking about a jacket using up some of the fancy
remnents I've built up since we've been here.
Catch you later,
Ruth
