It's so simple. First you treat the dog as a canine and *then* as your friend. An author just published "The Dog Whisperer" which spells this out in detail. Hell, my sister's neutered Labrador went for my throat twice while my Pit's total accumulated offenses over 14 years has been getting into the kitchen trash 6 times in 14 years. My Pit is better trained than the majority of all canines and as such extremely low maintanance and very accomidating. Think about it for a minute, do you really think a Pit Bull's brain differs from any other dog's brain in any substancial way? It's man that's bred the bred to be tough as nails but that needn't mean they must be mean. I'll stand my Pit against ANY dog and be confident he's the least aggressive of the bunch. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
