My wife and I recently ordered some neat "dachshund stuff" from the
Danbury Mint. I don't have their toll free number handy, but Janice did
chat with them the other day.

  Anyway, two of the neat dachshund items they have are "annual
Christmas ornaments" (I understand that there will be a different style
each year), and (coming soon) "dachshund embroidered fleece jackets".

  I forgot how the ornaments are set up, but it sounds like they make a
good deal on a holiday tree...I understand these are available right
now.

  The other item, which will start shipping in September, is a fleece
lined jacket, with 2 dachshunds embroidered on the left chest, and I
think 6 on the upper back. The zipper for the jacket is fashioned as a
seated dachshund, while the pocket zipper is a dachshund paw print. I
think size available is from small to XXL.

  Since these are specialized items, they may be considered
pricey...especially the jacket...the ornament cost isn't so bad. But, if
you love dachshunds, this might be something to consider for a holiday
gift for you or someone else.

  They do have a website, but I didn't see the "annual ornament" deal on
there (the one they had was a train decorative ornament set of different
dog breeds)...and, I don't think the jacket deal is on there yet. But,
we got that in the mail last week, and fell in love with it.
