today and once again it looks like the Red Sox versus the Yankees.
Agassi, Nadal Withdraw From Tennis Masters (AP)
AP - Andre Agassi lost 6-4, 6-2 to Nikolay Davydenko and then pulled out
of the Tennis Masters Cup on Monday, less than an hour after
second-seeded Rafael Nadal withdrew with an injured left foot.
NFL's Most Maligned Division Goes 4-0 (AP)
AP - Usually a sweep involving NFC North teams means Chicago, Minnesota,
Green Bay and Detroit all lost. Not this week, when the NFL's most
maligned division went 4-0.
Brown Gets First Win As Knicks Coach (AP)
AP - Larry Brown downplayed his first win with the New York Knicks. His
players felt differently.
Frolov, Conroy Get Hat Tricks for Kings (AP)
AP - The line of Craig Conroy, Alexander Frolov and Pavol Demitra got
the Los Angeles Kings off to a quick start against the Columbus Blue
Jackets. Frolov scored three goals in the opening 12:35 -- on a power
play, at even strength and short-handed -- Conroy also had a hat trick
and Demitra had four assists to lead the Kings to an 8-2 victory on
Sunday.
Steelers Defeat Browns 34-21 (AP)
AP - Ben Roethlisberger missed a second straight game with an injured
knee, though it hardly mattered to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their other
three quarterbacks were just fine. Charlie Batch improvised a 1-yard
touchdown run late in the second quarter, and his passing led to
another score before he left with a broken right hand. The Steelers
withstood their second QB injury in three weeks to beat the rival
Cleveland Browns 34-21 Sunday night.

AP - Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis (8 p.m. EST). The Grizzlies' Pau
Gasol is averaging 20 points.
Maddon will be Devil Rays' new manager (Reuters)
Reuters - California Angels bench coach Joe Maddon has been named the
new manager of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and will be officially
introduced on Tuesday.
Galaxy Beats Revolution to Win MLS Cup (AP)
AP - Guillermo Ramirez came into the MLS Cup fresh off the worst
offensive season in league history. Yet with the championship on the
line, the Los Angeles substitute did what no one else on the field
could do -- score.

AP - David Howell finally felt comfortable while walking the 18th
fairway -- he no longer had to worry about Tiger Woods. Howell won the
HSBC Champions tournament Sunday by three strokes. Woods needed to make
up three shots in the final three holes, but his comeback ended when
his tee shot went into the water on the 16th hole.
