That's bullshit and you know it.  

What transpired was, similar to what occured in Fidonews, that 
certain elements entered the Echo and attempted to make it their 
own personal battleground.  Many of those were banned from this 
Echo because of their conduct.  

As it is, I've been a member of this Echo for at least 15 years.
