I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have opened that can of worms---it'
s turning into a my dad can beat up your dad kind of thing---- I was
hoping for some history on a specific era of motors---1965ish thru 1975
as that is the range of motors that I will be able to afford.  I can't
see putting too much $$$ into the boat that I restored.  I know that
era of omc's had an obesity problem, at least early on ,---later on the
size seemed to come around but I was looking at a 50 horse (or so) and
it looked like it wouldn't even fit on the transom.  ???any info on
parts availability for the mercs of that era???
