For the last decade, I haven't had anything to do with him, until
his current round of lies and defamations, backed up by his minder

Yes, it has a certain ring to it, and as you might have noticed,
Dan's flaw is that he can dish it out, but cannot take it.

His daughter posted as (eg God Dan), but Ceppa introduced her to the
echo as "Princess" or "Princess ....." (from memory).

Ceppa was on about his fictional "promissory note" back then - nothing
has changed, only the user (JB) who is challenged to prove that he
doesn't have the non-existent thing. Earl Croasmun might remember, but
from memory HS had a "Put up or shut up" rule where, if someone like
Ceppa claimed that someone said ("Asher pre-banned ...."), the victim
of his lie could simply ask him to produce the posts or shut up.
Much more effective than the current norm of Ceppa lying about someone
with a minder to back him up with bans and feed-cuts.

I don't know about a big settlement, but she left him, and took the kids.
Given his antics in FidoNet, it wasn't a big surprise to me.

Exactly what he uses taglines for, and in the old days if you objected
to his tag he would come back with "arguing with a tagline are you",
or something like that.
