Grin, you are more confused than you realize.  Them's the rules for another 
echo!
To aswer your problem though, it seems the sysop of your BBS has the echos 
set to handles and needs to reset them to real names for posting in the 
echos.  In the interum, just type in your real name at the bottom of your 
messages like i add xxcarol to mine.  That will do well enough in all the 
echos until your sysop fixes the configuration.
