have done to it over the millennia with all of their footnotes and private
interpretations. It seems to me that the Jews place more faith in the
Mishnah and the Babylonian Talmud, which has a lot of sick things to say
about the Gentiles. The Babylonian Talmud is the blueprint for modern-day
pharisaism.

Actually, Lee, we were given the entire Bible, both the Old and the New
Testaments. As they say, in a prophetic sense, the New Testament reveals
what the Old Testament conceals. As such, God knew that we required both in
order to obtain the whole story.

Yes they were, but by who? That is the big question. Would the God of the
Bible, who tells us that He gave us His only-begotten Son to die for the
sins of the world, turn around and deny that He has a Son in the Qur'an? As
I noted in a previous post, they certainly don't seem like the same gods to
me.

Lee, there is only one concept of Salvation, and it is the one that God
clearly reveals to us in the pages of the Bible. It is not Jewish, Christian
or Muslim. It is meant for all men everywhere to understand, and to decide
upon. I already shared verses with you regarding this issue in a previous
post. Either you believe John 14:6, or else you call Jesus a liar. There is
no middle of the road here.

Oh I agree 100%; it is entirely up to Him, but He has certainly revealed to
us how to achieve that status...in the pages of the Bible. If anyone wants
in the door, then they need to go through THE Door...Jesus Christ:

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6, KJV

"Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the
door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but
the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he
shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."
John 10:7-9, KJV

If anyone tries to sneak into God's household any other way -- Islam
Judaism, etc. -- he is a thief and a robber. Jesus said so, and I believe
it.

I already gave you the answer to this in a previous message, straight from
the pages of the Bible. As Jesus said:

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth
not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
John 3:36, KJV

If a person adamantly refuses to accept Jesus Christ as God's only Savior,
then they simply will not be found in the Book of Life, which means this:

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the
lake of fire."
Revelation 20:15, KJV

I am going to assume that this was a typo on your part. The Jews asked JOHN
those questions, not Jesus. Why would Jesus deny that He is the Christ?

As to your latter point, it is truly sad that so many people, particularly
Arabs, have swallowed that lie which has been propagated by the Muslims for
years; that being that the words "that prophet" -- not "the
prophet" -- are
referring to Mohammad. There is even a verse in the Qur'an in which Jesus
supposedly prophesies of Mohammad's coming. I can't give you a reference on
it, but I have personally read it in the past.

At any rate, in the KJV, it actually says:

"And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from
Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but
confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou
Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou THAT PROPHET? And he answered, No.
Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them
that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one
crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the
prophet Esaias. And they which were sent were of the Pharisees. And they
asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that
Christ, nor Elias, neither THAT PROPHET? John answered them, saying, I
baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He
it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoeÕs latchet I am
not worthy to unloose."
John 1:19-27, KJV

So John appears to be saying that "that prophet" is actually
Jesus. In fact,
Moses prophesied the very same thing:

"The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee,
of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all
that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly,
saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me
see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the LORD said unto me,
They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a
Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in
his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
Deuteronomy 18:15-18, KJV

Of course, as you may already know, Jesus confirmed that Moses was indeed
talking about Jesus as being "the Prophet", or "that
prophet", as we see
here:

"Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that
accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye
would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his
writings, how shall ye believe my words?"
John 5:45-47, KJV

In the very next chapter, it is again confirmed that Jesus is indeed "that
prophet", as we see here:

"Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This
is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world."
John 6:14, KJV
