DItto here.  Interesting how that happened, but we're both partners with
business too now.

Mine was after second marriage went boom.  Had one short term relationship
which was more buddies with sharing a bed occasionally. sHe was more
serious about going somewhere with it  than I for awhile then realized why
longterm wouldn't work for us.

I'd decided I had other priorities in life than a relationship when this
lady and I finally got together. THe interesting part is how I met her.

I'd moved back to southeastern Iowa where I grew up, and brought Fidonet to
town with me. i wanted to get another board at least carrying some fidonet
to share expenses of bringing in echomail and to take all the gamers and
trekkies etc. Just wanted to carry on my board echoes relating to audio
production music ham radio etc.  So I recruited two other boards to carry
fido. I had been helping a guy get all the configuration right with
Frontdoor etc.  meanwhile he offered to help get this lady's computer
going.

WHen the fido prospect ran into more trouble than he wanted getting her old
IBM xt machine going again he called me and I came over.  HE ended up
playing screenreader for me as I did what needed to be done to bring that
old mfm hard drive back to life. SHe came over to get the machine later on
that hnight and afterword started calling my bbs once in awhile. We met a
few weeks later at the Post office where we were both checking our
mailboxes and went to drink coffee together.  The afternoon coffee
gathering started happening then occasionally about once a week.  Then I'd
disappear out of town on business for awhile and we'd run across each other
again at the post office and resume the meet for coffee once or twice a
week.

After 2.5 years or so of just meeting for coffee every once or  twice a
week we actually moved in together.  ten years this Thanksgiving in fact.
