Hello Marianne.

MR> Hi David,
MR> I just wanted to add to your comment re: SHARKS!!!

Glad to have some input on it. As sharks are like wolves they are made
out to be bad in stories and very few realize that they in general do
not care to bother with humans. I think that any diver that dives in
an area that has sharks should take the time to educate themselves about
sharks. It is always nice to know what you are diving with.

How close are you to that area? (the Red Triangle). I knew there were
Great Whites in that area but I did not think there were so many in one
area like that.

Unfortunatly most peoples oppinion about sharks is based on JAWS and
simular movies and stories. I think most people fear the shark not only
because of those stories but because they do not understand sharks (a
fear of the unknown). I am glad you took the time to research sharks,
every ocean diver should be educated on the subject. Yes it is true
that being under the water is better as sharks are know to be attracted
to splashing water. Yes you are quite correct there is risk in
everything we do, it is just that certain risks in certain activites
are only mentioned when something goes wrong and makes it seem much
worse then it really is. To dive smart and safe is to dive educated.
Type to you later
