PetsMart, one of the stores that caters to the needs of pets, has some neat
new commercials out there. The two that come to mind right now are:
 
1) Obedience Training. This guy is walking either a large dalmatian, or a great
dane. He stops at a vendor on the sidewalk, and tells the dog to sit, which she
does (her name is Maggie, I think). Anyway, close by, is a girl, who is slowly
licking her ice cream cone. The dog, while tempted, doesn't go after it.
 
2) New Toy. This one is a favorite of my wife, Janice...and myself. The weenie
dog mini dachshund in the commercial looks almost like our late weenie dog,
Fritz...who we had to have put down about a month ago now, because of
deteorating health (insulin resistance for openers). Anyway, this dog (it's a
male, but I don't remember the name of it) has been chewing and playing his
favorite chewtoy to the point where it's extremely bedraggled. The dog takes it
everywhere, and won't let go of it. So, one day, when the dog is asleep, the
owners quietly take it from him, and throw it in the trash. After he wakes up,
he apparently hasn't realized what has happened...as his owners take him to
PetsMart, to buy a new chewtoy...identical to the old one, but in much better
shape. The dog latches onto this one so tight, that they have to scan the dog
and the toy at the cash register!! It is too cute!!
 
  I don't know if there is a place to view their commercials (website?), but
I've seen these primarily on the Animal Planet cable channel.
